BACKGROUND
CTI Master’s Programs prepare students to build greater skills in biblical knowledge, leadership, and theology to help learners serve in their varied roles. Those seeking chaplaincy degrees will develop skills to be successful at whichever agency or organization they choose.
Pursuing these programs online give students the flexibility to balance studies with personal and professional obligations.
CTI is blessed to have several instructors with the knowledge, experience, and credentials to teach the masters courses. We are also registered under the Commission of Independent Christian Education by the State of Florida Department of Education and accredited by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutes.
HOW MANY CREDIT HOURS TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAMS?
CTI requires *36-hours for the Master of Arts in Christian Biblical Studies (12 courses) and *60-hours for the Master of Divinity Certification (Chaplaincy) 20 courses.
MASTER OF ARTS IN CHRISTIAN BIBLICAL STUDIES (MCBS)
The purpose of the Master of Arts in Christian Biblical Studies is to equip learners for Christian service through biblical, theological, and practical studies. Regardless of the student’s role in ministry, they will develop advanced skills in the interpretation and application of Scripture. The program requires 36-credit hours and serves as the Core Curriculum for every CTI Master’s Program.
*There is also 15-credit hours of Foundational Courses for students who HAVE NOT achieved the following:
- Is an ordained elder.
- Has an AMS Certification from CTI.
- Has met the Foundational Course requirements with an acceptable transcript from another Biblical Institute.
PRE-ENROLLMENT EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
For students who have graduated from the Church of God by Faith Examining Board or CTI, at least one of follow requirements must be met before enrolling in the any master’s program:
- Examining Board Eldership Certificate.
- CTI Christian Pastoral Studies Certificate (CPC).
- CTI Advanced Ministerial Studies Certifications in Ministry, Evangelism, Global Missions, Teaching, Counseling, or Deaconship. Students with deacons or ministerial certifications must complete the CPC or one of the AMS programs first.
Students who have not attended CTI must achieve at least one of the following:
- Ordained as an elder from other qualified educational institutions. Students must submit an official transcript or copy of their certificate. The CTI administration may accept or reject part or all the student’s previous credentials. The transferring institution must be equivalent to the instructions given at CTI.
No transfer credit will be granted that is not listed on an official, sealed transcript from the transferring institution. - Students who received a biblically related bachelor’s degree or an equivalent from a Christian college or seminary.
- Non ByFaith Students with a bachelor or higher degree from secular colleges may enroll in the Master’s in Biblical studies with these conditions:
- Must complete the following prerequisites before enrollment:
- SOT101 – Survey of the Old Testament
- SOT102 – Survey of the Old Testament, II
- SNT101 – Survey of the New Testament
- SNT102 – Survey of the New Testament, II
- ABS501 – Advanced Biblical Studies
- Church of God by Faith students who intend to be ordained as deacons, ministers, pastors etc., must enroll in the appropriate field to be certified in that area.
The Church of God by Faith Theological Institute (CTI) is registered under Section 1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes and Rule 6E-5.001. of the Commission of Independent Christian Education by the State of Florida Department of Education. CTI is accredited by the American Acrediting Association of Theological Institutes (AAATI) which “offers accreditation for Christian Seminaries, Bible Colleges, and Institutes who distinguish themselves through a number of high standards in regard to ethics and educational excellence.
Some of these distinctions are as follows: 1) Legal operation through appropriate governmental authorization, 2) Having an educationally credentialed and validated faculty, 3) Offering sound and substantial Theological programs, and 4) Possessing professional processes and procedures.” CTI is listed in the AAATI members directorly found here.
Over the years, hundreds of candidates have been consecrated and ordained in a variety of areas including Christian ministry, teaching, evangelism, and pastoral training. Our pending Master’s and Chaplaincy programs are scheduled to start January 2022. Our most important objective is to prepare men and women to advance the Word of God.
